BSL practice resources
Practise with purpose. Arrive ready.
Waggle creates self-study resources that support Deaf BSL teachers and give learners clear direction for their study time, so they feel confident using BSL in assessments and beyond the classroom. Less time spent making materials, more time spent teaching.
Our first pack
Ready for 101
Your Unit 101 assessment is a short conversation with your teacher, about five minutes. No written test and no audience. This pack shows you what to practise, how to practise it, and how to check you're ready for every part.
- Practice for greetings, fingerspelling, numbers, weather, transport and directions
- An example conversation, your own mock assessment and a mark-yourself checklist
- A free 10-minute practice session, booked from your purchase email
- Fits into the personal study your course already expects: about 10 hours over 3 to 4 weeks
For teachers & centres
Your strategist and your shortcut
Waggle exists to support Deaf teachers to do what they do best: teach. Our packs help your learners self-study between lessons, so you can focus on polishing their signing rather than creating new materials from scratch.
Time back
Ready-made practice your learners can work through on their own, without adding to your workload.
Prepared learners
Learners who know what the assessment looks like and have practised every part before they sit in front of you.
Your own link
Partner centres and teachers get a personal link and discount code for their learners, and earn a share of every sale made with it.
Help shape what comes next
We'd love to hear what's working in your classroom and where your learners struggle most. Book an informal chat. Your insight decides which materials we build next.
About Waggle
Built from over ten years beside Deaf teachers
Waggle was founded by Cloe, a Communication Support Worker who has spent more than ten years supporting Deaf BSL teachers in and outside of the classroom. That time has shown her exactly where learners get stuck, and how much teachers carry to help them through.
Every Waggle resource starts with what teachers tell us their learners find hardest. We build the practice; teachers do the teaching.
Why "Waggle"?
Honeybees share what they know through the waggle dance: movement, not sound. A whole colony working together towards one goal. That's what we want for BSL learning.
